Philip has worked in the finance industry for over 25 years, with particular expertise in traditional and structured finance. Originally from Melbourne, he commenced his career in property and financial services, before moving to Sydney where he set-up his own brokerage group. Philip established Translease Pty Ltd with Bill Murfitt in 2000, and was instrumental in the establishment of Global Rental and Leasing Pty Ltd in 2006.
With over 25 years experience in the equipment finance sector, Bill brings substantial knowledge and expertise to his role as Director of Translease. This includes more than a decade at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in senior lending and managerial roles. Bill established Translease Pty Ltd with Philip Barclay in 2000, and helped expand the business into the rental and operating lease market with the establishment of Global Rental and Leasing Pty Ltd in 2006 – an entity that’s written in excess of $1 billion general finance business.
Equipment Finance Specialist
With more than 13 years experience in the finance industry, particularly across asset finance broking and banking, Wendy provides exceptional service and support to large-scale car rental and corporate franchisee clients. She also has extensive experience in funding heavy machinery, earthmoving equipment and commercial vehicles for clients in industries such as construction, demolition, earthmoving, civil contracting, forestry and agriculture, and crane hire. Wendy holds a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking.
Senior Relationship Manager
Commencing his career in general insurance nearly 40 years ago, Paul has operated an equipment finance broking practice (now part of Translease) since 1982. He specialises in the car and truck rental industry, establishing lines of credit facilities for his nation-wide clients across a wide range of financiers. Paul has won numerous awards, including Broker of the Year for BOQ Equipment Finance, ME Bank, Bankwest, and National Mutual Leasing Finance Division.
Team Leader Operations
Anna has worked in the finance industry for over 20 years and joined Translease in 2012 as Team Leader Operations overseeing back office functions for the Melbourne office. Prior to joining Translease, she worked at NAB, ANZ, CUA, MBFS and Collins Finance in a variety of roles, including Credit Analyst for Consumer Lending, Relationship Executive and Operations Manager. Anna was part of the Accelerated Growth Program for Management at NAB, and was one of only four people selected out of 1,500 applicants to join ANZ’s Graduate Program. Anna holds a Bachelor of Business from Monash University, with a major in Banking & Finance, as well as a Teaching Degree.
Associate Director (Melbourne)
John joined Translease in 2011 as Associate Director responsible for the company’s Melbourne operations. Since that time, he’s established a large client base in the transport industry, servicing major fleet operators, SMEs and owner operators. John boasts over 25 years experience in the finance and leasing industry, having previously held senior management positions with Hertz Australia, Esanda Finance, Mercedes Benz Finance, and the ANZ Bank. He achieved Associate Membership in the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants in 1990, Senior Associate Membership in the Australian Institute of Bankers in 1994, and has also been a CAFBA member since 2011. John holds a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University, with majors in Economics, Accounting and Banking & Finance.
Joining Translease from Quantum Business Finance in 2015, Louise is a dedicated and highly valued professional who is responsible for a wide range of back end administrative processes in our Melbourne office. With extensive experience in the finance administration sector, she manages business finance transactions for things such as heavy machinery, retail fit outs, car loans, balloon re-finances and more. Importantly, Louise handles significant volumes of documentation preparation for our clients with large asset transactions, which requires meticulous attention to detail, organisation and efficiency.
